We support social impact by supporting non discriminatory employment at our workshop. We invest in people to have a more sustainable future by supporting employment of people with disabilties, refugee communities through a local foundation as well as empowering people from marginalized groups.
The core of Threadapeutic is to reduce waste and minimize our carbon footprint. By using locally sourced garment factory remnants as well as banners from local events and bean-sacks from local coffee roasters, we are able to significantly reduce the amount of waste heading to the landfill.
Threadapeutic is committed to educating the public about value of upcycling through workshops and conversations that are able to be customised to communities being offered. Our customers are the most passionate people when stopped and asked “What is that bag made of” or “Where did you get that bag”.. these types of conversation are opportunities to bridge the divide and increase understanding.
Up to date, Threadapeutic has donated a part of its profit to education within the refugee communities through a foundation and people with disabilities. We also reinvest a portion of our profits towards educating and empowering initiatives for our artisans.
