A Work Of Art

Wall Tapestry

The luxurious look and feel of our wall tapestries, table runners, and cushion covers is actually the result of upcycling.

The faux chenille technique involves layering stacks of fabrics, stitching across them in rows, cutting the top layers in-between the stitches, and brushing the fabric to create a frayed texture. Using this technique that originated in the west, our local artisans use fabric scraps to create material that is rich in texture. Nothing is wasted as the remnants are used as appliques on our bags, pouches and scarves.
